"Leela" is a beautiful filly. She is expected to mature just under 15 hands. She is a bay leopard, with very dark spots. She ties, leads and grooms, accepts flyspray and baths and stands great for the farrier. She is a very affectionate horse and has the shuffle gait.

"Buffy" is the pattern and type I was hoping to breed. I had not offered her for sale previously because I wanted to use her for my next generation. Since I have made the decision to no longer breed, she is now offered for sale.

She is bay with a large spotted blanket with roaning through her face, neck and legs. Like her dam, she has wonderful gaits, switching between a trot and a shuffle as needed. She is expected to mature at about 15.2 hands. Buffy is a very affectionate horse and is halter broke. We are starting on her ground work which she is picking up fast. She can be groomed, bathed, fly-sprayed, ties and stands well for the farrier.

Like Buffy, "Rita" is also of the pattern and type I was hoping to breed. I had not offered her for sale previously because I wanted to use her for my next generation. Since I have made the decision to no longer breed, she is now offered for sale.

Rita is a bay with a spotted blanket and is expected to mature at about 14.3 hands. She shuffles and is a very calm, affectionate and sensible filly. She ties, leads, grooms, accepts flyspray, hosing, stands for the farrier. She is starting her ground work and picking it up quickly.

"Foxy" is a Bay Ghost, or in Appaloosa parlance, a Bay Fewspot. She is homozygous for the LP gene. She has had 4 foals by a solid colored stallion, one was born solid with characteristics and later became a Varnish Roan, her other 3 foals have all been born with unmistakable color and pattern. Foxy is from an Appaloosa breeding program that emphasized spots and shuffle. Besides being registered with Tigre (as are her sire, dam, and siblings) she is also registered with the ApHC. International Colored Appaloosa Association (ICAA) and is eligible for registration in the Foundation Appaloosa Horse Registry (FAHR) and ApHC FPD (foundation Appaloosa registries.) The last non-Appaloosa in her pedigree is 5 generations back.

Foxy was started under saddle recently. She is doing well for a just-started horse and has never offered to buck, bolt or rear. She seems to enjoy our riding sessions and improves with each ride. Of course, she also leads, stands, ties, grooms, bathes, trailers, is good for the farrier, and is good letting me handle her foals. She is an excellent mother and is open this season.

"Bird" is a Red Snow Cap Ghost, or Red Snow Cap. Her markings have matured to a dark liver chestnut. She has had one foal who has a great shuffle. She is an excellent mother and babysits the weanlings while they get used to being without their dams.

Bird has a lovely smooth shuffle, as well as a ground-eating trot. Actually, the shuffle covers a lot of ground too! I have been riding her off and on for a couple of years. I would ride her more if I didn't have so many youngsters. She is a bold and confident horse. Last fall, I helped a neighbor gather cattle from a canyon pasture. I don't know much about cows, but it didn't seem to matter - Bird had figured out how to "give them the eye" and move them where I wanted them to be. She had no problem leaving the other horse to go and guard a gate or for me to give a message to another helper.
